  • What are the feelings the player might be feeling from the START of the clip to the point in which he hits his head with the racket? 

  • Can you describe a time your feelings escalated?

  • If we line up the feelings from START to FINISH, what feeling is at the end? 

The prompt I give my students for the InsideOut video:

  • Have you ever experienced a time when someone tried to "cheer you up?" Did it work? Why or why not?

  • What is the difference between what Joy is doing and what Sadness is doing in this situation? Which worked better?

  • Does adding "happiness" to a sad situation always work to make the person feel better? How can you recognize and validate someone's feelings?
